Program Description:
Education Abroad Planning Scholarship
Office of International Programs
Kansas State University

Purpose of the Scholarship:

The Education Abroad Planning Scholarship (EAPS) was created with two primary goals in mind: to increase participation in groups of students underrepresented in education abroad at KSU, and to assist students of high financial need who are motivated to go abroad but have financial barriers associated with the "out-of-pocket" expenses of going abroad.

This scholarship is intended to assist recipients with education abroad predeparture-related expenses, such as airfare, visa fees, and immunizations or vaccinations.

Amount:

Up to 20 scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded.

Eligibility:

1. Recipients of this scholarship must be Pell Grant eligible during the Fall semester of application for the scholarship.

(If you don't know if you are eligible for the Pell Grant, please contact a financial aid advisor in the Office of Student Financial Assistance, 104 Fairchild Hall, finaid@ksu.edu, 785-532-6420)

Selection Criteria:

Selection will be made by the Scholarship Committee, and will be based on the following criteria:
  • Pell eligibility

    • Describe how the education abroad program you have chosen connects with your academic and/or professional goals
