OVERVIEWitesm mex

Founded by a group of Mexican businessmen in 1943, ITESM is considered one of the best universities in Mexico.  It has been recognized by several national and international organizations such as SACS, EQUIS, AACSB, and other leading international systems of quality assessment and accreditation of higher education institutions.

MEXICO CITY

Mexico City offers students a great place for study and adventure. There will be plenty of things to do in this amazing, traditional, and modern megalopolis.  Mexico City offers its visitors a rich intercultural environment, various museums for all types of interests, exciting nightlife, a great variety of food, and really nice weather.  It is a city with a great balance between tradition and modern lifestyle.  Due to its central location, major tourist attractions from other parts of the country may be easily reached by bus or by air.  To see places and things you should visit during your trip, read about attractions.

ACADEMIC OVERVIEW

COURSE CATALOG:
On the upper right hand side of this website, you can select a study area, then select a degree, and the courses for that degree will be listed next. There are courses offered in English as well as Spanish.  It is hard to tell which courses are offered in English at which times, so it is best to have a Spanish background.

The learning system of ITESM-Mexico City is very beneficial to students who enjoy teamwork, small group projects, and student participation.  Homework is assigned regularly and attendance is required 88%of the time.  This makes it possible to access important information in the class.

Having a computer or laptop may also be beneficial due to the technological access at ITESM.  Checking course materials, assignments, turning in homework, and group discussions may need to be done online.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

Students must meet the requirements of Education Abroad.  ITESM further prefers a GPA of 2.8 or above to participate in their program.

HOUSING

There are a few options for housing accommodations whilst abroad.

Host families are great ways to experience Mexican customs while also discovering the warmth of a family, authentic Mexican cuisine, and the Spanish language.  Families provide rooms, beds, desk, chair, linen, laundry facilities, three meals a day, and airport pickup.  Rent is similar to places near campus.

Student resident halls can sometimes be an option for students, given that they apply in a timely manner.  Free internet, housekeeping, laundry facilities, and a cafeteria are just some of the highlights of living in the resident halls.  ITESM offers a summary of housing costs on the right hand side of the page when you click on "Housing" above.

Off-campus housing is another option if you want to stay with other international students and can handle the extra responsibility.

The dining services offer cafeterias, snack stores, and dining halls with high quality foods and excellent service.  The cafeterias further provide special services for seminars, courses, meetings, and other events inside the campus.

COSTS & TUITION
