Program Description:
Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships
Fulbright U.S. Student Program

This scholarship program is not run through Education Abroad at Kansas State University.  Therefore the APPLY NOW button has been removed.  If you wish to apply to this scholarship program, please follow the directions below or click the Request Info button to create an advising application.

In most cases, English Teaching Assistantships:
  • Are placed in schools or universities outside of capital cities.
  • Are assigned various activities designed to improve their students' language abilities and knowledge of the United States.
  • Are fully integrated into the host community, increasing their own language skills and knowledge of the host country.
  • May persue individual study/research plans in addition to ETA responsibilities.

Each ETA Program is designed by the host country, and individual elements may vary by country.  Applicants for English Teaching Assistantships can apply to only one country.  Multi-country ETA projects will not be considered.

How to Apply:

The Fulbright ETA Program has grown rapidly over the last two years.  See this table for participating countries and details on placements, specific responsibilities, and opportunities for research or coursework.  We recommend you consult frequently for further updates. Campus applications are usually due in early September for the next academic year.
