Freshmen Education Abroad Scholarship

Description:
 
The Freshmen Education Abroad Scholarship was created by the Office of International Programs in order to encourage early consideration of participation on an education abroad program.

Eligibility:

This scholarship is available for students who, at the time of application, are attending their first academic year at a university or college.  Students must be enrolled at K-State full time at the time of application. Preference will be given to students who qualify for Federal Financial Aid.


Selection will be made by the OIP Scholarship Committee, and will be based on the following criteria:
  • Response to: "How do you intend to make this education abroad experience a reality during your college career?" Please be as detailed as possible within the 200 word limit.
  • Federal Financial Aid eligibility

Award:

Up to 10 recipients per year will be awarded the chance to receive $2,000 to help fund an education abroad experience. This $2,000 award will be distributed to recipients once they have committed to an approved K-State education abroad program.
