The US-UK Fulbright Commission offers highly competitive awards for study at one of nine UK Summer Institutes, which each focus on a different academic topic.  Programs are 3 to 6 weeks in length.  Participants are able to study at highly regarded universities in the United Kingdom, explore the history and culture of the UK, and develop research, presentation, and communication skills.

Applications must be 18 years or older with at least two years of undergraduate study remaining.  Therefore applicants should currently be of freshman or sophomore standing.  They must also have at least a 3.5 GPA and demonstrate leadership and ambassadorial qualities.  Students who are actively involved in campus or community organizations and who can provide evidence of leadership and initiative are encouraged to apply.

The Summer Institutes cover the majority of participants' program costs, including airfare, tuition, accommodation, and meals.

How to Apply:

Application deadlines are in late February.  Finalists are selected for a telephone interview.  For more information about how to apply, as well as application FAQs, please visit this link.
