Nita Mai Study Abroad Scholarship

Description:
This study abroad scholarship was established in 2015 by Nita Mai to provide financial assistance to a student in journalism and mass communications who is interested in participating in a semester study abroad experience. Ms. Mai had the opportunity to live abroad during her college years and it is her hope that other students would have the chance to experience life outside of the United States as well.

Eligibility:
The recipient of this award will be an undergraduate student properly enrolled in the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications in the College of Arts and Sciences at Kansas State University who is participating in a semester study abroad experience. Preference will be given to a student from Northwestern Kansas with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, based on a 4.0 scale. In all other respects, these funds will be awarded without restriction to race, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation or disability.

How to Apply:
Eligible students should complete the general JMC Scholarship application. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m., February 1st, to be considered for scholarships in the following academic year.
